FOSTERING FINANCIAL INDEPENDENCE
The Issue
- Out of the total adult population of Pakistan, 53% of the population is financially excluded due to the lack of awareness of financial products. A large portion of the population lacks basic money and financial management skills such as budgeting, investing, savings or insurance. Furthermore, only 2.4% of Pakistan’s population has access to credit from financial sources and insurance penetration is approximately 1% which is very low compared to other countries in the region*
- Improving financial literacy can contribute to economic growth by enabling individuals to make informed financial decision, improving their ability to manage money by saving, investing and buying insurance. *Statistics have been retrieved from the published reports and articles by Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan and State Bank of Pakistan.
Our Approach
At Finseekh, we believe that by connecting mathematical concepts, to real-world financial scenarios, and providing access to comprehensive financial empowerment tools we can help individuals from low-income backgrounds to benefit from financial stability. Our approach is rooted in collaboration, community engagement, and inclusivity. We believe that learning is most effective when it is relatable, practical, and tailored to individual circumstances. By equipping individuals with a solid foundation and practical application of mathematical concepts relating to data interpretation, compound interest, and budget calculations, along with the importance and understanding of budgets and savings for the purpose of investments, and insurance, we aim to break down barriers and enable them to make informed decisions about their financial well-being.

Our Projects
Math Remedial Classes
Our math remedial classes are designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and practical financial understanding. We provide participants with a solid foundation in math, including statistics, to empower them to interpret and use data effectively. This statistical knowledge is vital for making informed financial decisions, from analyzing budget trends to understanding investment risks. By incorporating statistics, we empower and prepare young students to navigate the financial landscape with confidence.
Financial Literacy Workshops
Our financial literacy workshops are tailored to address the unique challenges faced by individuals in low-income communities. We provide comprehensive education on financial tools, including budgeting, saving, investing, and understanding the importance of insurance coverage. Through these workshops, we empower participants to make well informed decisions that protect their financial well-being and contribute to a brighter economic future.

One word to describe myself would be “curious”. I’m curious about the world in general and my world in particular. In my world, there is inequity and this is something I have been very intuned to since my early years. Hence from my corner I am trying to help solve for it in whatever small way I can. This is the motivation that made me set up this initiative – leverage my love of math with my desire to solve for the inequity of knowledge- around me!
